AFC Bournemouth Vice Chairman Jeff Mostyn and former AFC Bournemouth company secretary John Piper are in court later today (Wednesday).
The civil action brought by Piper against Mostyn, will be heard over the next 2 days at Southampton County Court.
The dispute is based on a £30,000 loan made by Piper prior to the club going into administration in February 2008.
The loan was part of monies secured by a debenture, lodged with Companies` House in Mostyn`s name.
Following the sale of the club by administrators Begbies Traynor, their were insufficient funds from the sale proceeds to cover the debenture and a separate agreement was made with then new owner Paul Baker, who agreed to make 24 payment instalments of £36,000.
However once his company UK Sameday went into administration after just two payments, Baker made no further payments.
Piper is now taking Mostyn to court for his original £30,000 loan as he sees Mostyn as personally liable, while Mostyn will refute the claim.
Piper is also involved in another court action with AFC Bournemouth, as he has attached a winding up petition on the club served by HMRC.
