High Hopes For Edgar

AFC Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe has high hopes for the 19 year old West Ham midfielder Anthony Edgar, following him opting to join the Cherries on a one month loan deal.

Following the Football League giving permission for the Cherries to bring in either a non contract or loan player for a month, Howe has moved to bring in the youngster who can play anywhere across midfield and is a cousin of former AFC Bournemouth loan favourite Jermain Defoe.

Howe told the Daily Echo...

"Anthony has been on the radar for a while. We`ve watched West Ham a number of times and he has always impressed.

"He`s a creative player and very good on the ball. He can play a number of different positions, which is a huge asset to us at the moment.

"We are delighted to be bringing him in and are thankful to West Ham for all their help. He will certainly boost competition for places and we are hoping he will come in and do well."
