McQuoid called up to Northern Ireland B squad

AFC Bournemouth youngster Josh McQuoid has been drafted into the Northern Ireland B squad to face Scotland B on Wednesday (kick off 7.30pm).

Former Cherries youngster Curtis Allen has been withdrawn from the squad along with several other players. The late withdrawals give McQuoid a chance to impress following decent performances for the nations Under 21's team.

The 19 year old made 18 appearances for the Cherries this season including 5 starts.

Scotland have also suffered numerous late withdrawals with Celtic's Mark Wilson and Graham Dorrans of West Brom being the most noticeable absentees.

Northern Ireland coach Steve Beaglehole told the Belfast Telegraph...

'While there has been some disruption to the squad, it is a great chance for our young players to show what they can do.'
