Howe critical of referee

AFC Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe criticised referee Steven Cook following the Cherries 1-0 defeat to Gillingham.

Radio Solent reported that the referee had lost control of the game during the last 20 minutes of the match which was a criticism that Eddie Howe echoed.

Howe told the Daily Echo...

"It was a very stop-start second half, we needed to keep our discipline and we got very frustrated at the lack of football.

"There were so many stoppages in the second half and it was disappointing for us because we just wanted to get the ball and play. The spectators would probably say the same.

"There were some great challenges that got penalised and there were some great tackles that ended up as free kicks. It was a frustrating afternoon."
