Despite being bitterly disappointed, Eddie Howe was still able to take the positives from a performance that deserved more than just the single point the Cherries gained from Lincoln.
Thanks to goals from Mark Molesley and two penalties from Brett Pitman, the Cherries looked set to return to Dean Court with a 3-1 victory over Lincoln, until 'keeper David Button intervened with two howlers and the match ending 3-3.
Eddie Howe told BBC Radio Solent…
"Brett (Pitman) was excellent again today, that`s the fifth game on the trot for Brett, I think he`s been outstanding the last five games, so he can be very proud of his performance and he has two goals to go with it all be it from the penalties, but I was pleased with it."
"Fletch was excellent again today, causing them a real problem, it enabled us to get runners off him, I thought Jake (Thomson) had a excellent second half as well, so there are some really good performances out there, the three midfielders did really well and I couldn`t pick anyone out for criticism."
"We go to Dagenham now, I said to the boys it is now three unbeaten, I know it is not the sequence that we wanted, we wanted the win today, but we have to take some positives and we have to move on."
