Campanholi set to sign

Campanholi set to sign

Brazilian Felipe Campanholi Martins is set to agree terms with AFC Bournemouth.

The 18 year old attacking midfielder has recently been on trial for the Cherries, playing a part in the recent behind closed doors friendly against Weymouth (The Cherries lost 3-0).

Howe told the Daily Echo...

'...He`s keen to come to England and we have made him an offer. I believe he has tremendous ability and is a real prospect, maybe further down the line than this season.

"He`s got great talent and great feet and can certainly cross a ball. I`ve taken a long-term view and you`ve got to look to the future...

"...Although everyone knows the next few months are going to be vital, there is going to be a next season and there is going to be a future. As a manager, you have got to look long term as well so that`s what I`m trying to do."

The Brazilian holds an Italian passport and was recommended by former Bournemouth player Richard Hughes, whose Dad Kevin is the players agent.

He was released by Italian sign Padova as he has a minor heart defect.
